dois meses para ano e meio prazo de deten\u00e7\u00e3o de imigrantes ilegais.<\/p><p>A discuss\u00e3o p\u00fablica do anteprojecto da lei que j\u00e1 \u00e9 conhecida como \u201cLei do Retorno\u201d iniciou-se a passada 6\u00aa feira.<\/p><p>O novo regime de retorno de estrangeiros, aprovado na quinta-feira pelo Conselho de Ministros, fica agora um m\u00eas na fase de consulta p\u00fablica, at\u00e9 ser reanalisado pelo Executivo e submetido \u00e0 Assembleia da Rep\u00fablica.<\/p><p>Atualmente, os migrantes que cheguem ilegalmente a territ\u00f3rio portugu\u00eas podem ter de permanecer at\u00e9 60 (sessenta) dias nos Centros de Instala\u00e7\u00e3o Tempor\u00e1ria (CIT) ou Espa\u00e7os Equiparados (EECIT), durante os procedimentos expuls\u00e3o do pa\u00eds.<\/p><p>Quem n\u00e3o se lembra, por exemplo, do que sucedeu este ver\u00e3o com cerca de 30 (trinta) migrantes marroquinos que chegaram ilegalmente a territ\u00f3rio portugu\u00eas atrav\u00e9s da costa algarvia e, que volvido o prazo de 2 (dois) meses para an\u00e1lise e conclus\u00e3o dos processos de retorno, foram libertados. Se esta situa\u00e7\u00e3o acontecesse j\u00e1 com a nova lei em vigor, os migrantes em quest\u00e3o continuariam retidos nos Centros de Instala\u00e7\u00e3o Tempor\u00e1ria.<\/p><p>O diploma prev\u00ea o aumento do prazo de deten\u00e7\u00e3o nos centros para imigrantes ilegais, passando de dois meses para um ano e meio.<\/p><p>Tudo indica que o Governo pretende tamb\u00e9m eliminar os 20(vinte) dias previstos para a Notifica\u00e7\u00e3o para Abandono Volunt\u00e1rio (NAV) &#8220;por revelar ser um procedimento redundante e incompat\u00edvel com a obriga\u00e7\u00e3o de assegurar de imediato o retorno coercivo.<\/p><p>Neste momento, um estrangeiro ilegal em Portugal \u00e9 notificado para abandonar voluntariamente o pa\u00eds no prazo de 20 (vinte) dias.
