Conselho de Ministros realizada em 15 de fevereiro de 2023, no Pal\u00e1cio do Governo em D\u00edli, Timor-Leste, foi aprovado o projeto de Decreto-Lei, proposto pelo Ministro do Petr\u00f3leo e Minerais, V\u00edctor da Concei\u00e7\u00e3o Soares, para a primeira altera\u00e7\u00e3o ao Decreto-Lei n.\u00ba 31\/2011, de 27 de julho, que estabeleceu a Timor Gap &#8211; Timor G\u00e1s &amp; Petr\u00f3leo, E.P., e seus Estatutos.<\/p><p>O objetivo desta altera\u00e7\u00e3o passa pelo ajuste dos princ\u00edpios e objetivos fundamentais da Timor Gap, E.P. enquanto empresa p\u00fablica, tendo uma perspetiva estrat\u00e9gica de crescimento no m\u00e9dio e longo prazo, para atrair oportunidades de investimento nos setores de petr\u00f3leo, g\u00e1s natural e quaisquer outros hidrocarbonetos e os seus derivados em Timor-Leste.<\/p><p>Al\u00e9m disso, o diploma permitir\u00e1 \u00e0 Timor Gap explorar novas \u00e1reas de interven\u00e7\u00e3o e novos objetivos estrat\u00e9gicos em conformidade com as expectativas e orienta\u00e7\u00f5es do governo para o desenvolvimento dos setores em quest\u00e3o. Entre as altera\u00e7\u00f5es estabelecidas por este diploma, incluem-se a subordina\u00e7\u00e3o da empresa \u00e0s autoridades de supervis\u00e3o e superintend\u00eancia do respetivo ministro, a harmoniza\u00e7\u00e3o das suas atividades com as orienta\u00e7\u00f5es e objetivos do governo, bem como a possibilidade de participa\u00e7\u00e3o da Timor Gap em quaisquer opera\u00e7\u00f5es
