My name is Carlos Pinto and I have over 20 years of experience practicing law in Angola, both in in-house counsel positions and through my Luanda-based law firm, P&P Advogados. I served as in-housel legal counsel for one of the largest international oil companies with a market leading presence in Angola where I gained experience in the various facets of the oil & gas industry, contract models and the management of complex projects. Afterwards, I headed the legal department of the Angolan Ministry of Finance which fostered my interest in taxation and fiscal policy. My exposure to the corporate world was expanded while I served as director (with the legal portfolio) of the national oil company of Angola. At my firm, P&P Advogados, I mostly advise international and domestic corporate clients in corporate, commercial, private investment, tax and other areas.
